If your images aren’t as nice as some others that you come across, it becomes very easy to blame the camera. Actually there are some very simple things which you can do. It all depends on what you are trying to achieve. As with all cameras, you may have to think about different things such as photography lighting, color balance among other basic aspects.

For a start you need to make sure you have your basic composition down. This means the position of all the different elements within a frame. Basically you need to try and imagine that your frame is sectioned off into nine different squares that are roughly the same size. This is called the rule of thirds.

You try and imagine that whatever it is you are taking a photograph of, it/they are along these particular lines and also where the lines cross one another. This will give a far more interesting shot and if you to simply try and place your subject in the dead center.

The next thing is to make sure they have the right level of exposure. So if it is dark then select a suitable exposure for this. Many modern cameras will have a button where you can adjust these particular settings. If you are shooting a fast action picture you can select a mode suitable such as shutter priority (“S”).
